DON'T FORGET TO USE THE WEB LEAGUE TO MAKE YOUR CHALLENGE

Postby Nap » Thu Jun 07, 2007 8:49 am

Hey guys,

I just counted the matches in the Challenge forum, and then counted what is in the Web League, and there are 3 more matches in the forum.

This means two things:
1) The person who is being challenged didn't get an email, so they might not know they are being challenged,
2) The Admins will not be able to score the result, since the game isn't registered in the database.

Can each player use the PENDING CHALLENGES menu in the Web League and verify that all their matches are listed. If you made the challenge, you will show as Player1.

Any missing challenges should be made using the MAKE CHALLENGE Function, or VOIDED in the forum.

Cheers,
Nap

With the pending challenge the main source of communication of notifing others of a challenge, what does one do if the date and time is set but there is no response from the challengee?

Hi Panther,

You have 2 months to complete your matches. Move on to the other vPilots and finish off the ones you can first.

When you offer a time, the other person must either accept the time or offer an alternative. To agree to a time, you simply need to check the box and submit the page.

You can negotiate as long as you like (back and forth until you find an agreeable date/time), but as we get closer to the end of the season, the Admins will be on the lookout for stalling or evading.

When you do agree on a time, and the other person does not show up, then you can report the NO SHOW. You will then need to negotiate a new date/time as before. If the persons does not show up again, you are entitled to ask for a DEFAULT. You will see the option for requesting a default on the page.

The person who doesn't show up and has a NO SHOW reported against them must make an appeal before continuing with any other activity IN THAT match. Otherwise they will loose the chance for an appeal. (They can continue with other matches as normal.)
Successful appeals will not count as a NO SHOW.

Cheers,
Nap

Thanks, that was the part I was most concerned with.
