109 Approval for use in DFL

Postby Nap » Wed Nov 29, 2006 10:24 am

Can each of the competing vPilots cast a vote.

If you have any concerns, please post them in the thread AND contact Nap to discuss the issue. (ICQ/MSN best, then we can go into TS if required.)

Cheers,
Nap

Rotor and I had a problem where the game didn't put us back in the Jet in ROE 3.

I would consider it a minor problem, were were able to back to the match-play lobby and restart the match.

I voted Yes :)

Just downloaded 1.09 today. My opinion is to test for at least another week, and if no serious or consistent problems arise then the IDL should progress with the rest of the AF community

I've voted 'yes'.
I've been playing around in Hyper Lobby. Campaigns, TE's & DF's and even Furballs with 6 or more players. As host and client. Experienced some lag, black textures, no CTD's as yet.

Regarding the BVR freeze problem, can we try to find out what is actually causing the problem.

Perhaps make the following tests:
With Range 60 miles:
1) Guns Only fight,
2) Rear-Aspect Heaters,
3) Slammers only,
4) All Aspect heaters only,
5) Mix of Slammers/Heaters,

With Range 15 miles:
6) same combinations as above.

7) above combinations with ECM allowed/disallowed.

Then report your results.

Cheers,

1) How are the tests going that were suggested in my post above?

2) Only 11 people have voted. I hope this is due to language not apathy?

Based on the poll so far, 109 will be accepted as soon as I get feedback on the BVR Freeze issue. If you don't voice your opinion now, you will not be able to do so later. This in turn might mean you will not be able to compete.

Cheers,
Nap

To me the BVR freeze issue is not a major one.

Both pilots are stuck and can exit the game with no problems.

This is unlike the pause or other freezing where one pilot it stuck while the other is manuvering in other ROEs.

If the game freezes then restart with the current score.

CM,

rgr.
I am still interested in the feedback from the suggested tests since we can pass that on to LP, and they will have something to work on.

Hi everyone,

From 22 Dec 2006, F4AF Patch 109 is our official install.

There were 12 votes in favour of it, and only 1 against.
There were some minor issues reported, which I am still awaiting information about. But they are not show-stoppers.

If anyone is still flying patch 108 or earlier, please update now.

Cheers,
Nap
