Does the Mirage 2000 have it's own pit? You can fly any jet in Falcon but you only have the F-16 pit and external views.

Sorry for the page. I'll ask some friends who are more uptodate and send you some links.

Yes Mirage 2000 have its own 2D and 3D pit, FM, weapons and radar performances. We've also start to build a sound pack to get more realistic sounds for this aircraft.
The only thing remaining from the F-16 is the basic avionic...

In the Virtual European Air Force we are flying FoF engaging F-16 and Mirage 2000 since a long time, and that's defenitely great ;).

CM,
The link Couby posted, works for me.

re: OF: I will be releasing an update of SF that will work with OF in the near future, so until that time, I hope an honour system would hold up.

Cheers,
Nap

If the OF league happens how are weapons going to be handled?

Are the French missiles equivalent to the US aim 9m and 9p? What about the BVR missiles?

I would say yes. Yet you have to be aware that adding a new aircraft and new models (fm, weapons...) is not something you can do in just several weeks.
And even after that, before flying it in a competition, there are people to convince about accuracy of the work and interest in the fight.

Extending aircrafts possibilities in ladders should require some balance considerations.

Magic II is equivalent to aim 9m, modeled as a bit better but the difference is not really big.

For BVR that depends the Mirage you are flying.
With 2000 C, we have Super 530, which is Fox One. Less performant than the Amraam of course, but in 1v1 I can assure you we have our chances ;).
With 2000-5, there are Mica missiles (EM or IR), I would say Amraam equivalent as Fox Three missiles. Yet the IR variant can be surprising of course cos no active radar in terminal guidance but IR. Fight is also interesting in this field.

The main problem with model dynamics and cheating is that you simply have to swap the std F16 model with the F22, and you will fly rings around the other guy.

Once we get the standard competitions underway, we will look at OF. Until I get an updated SF out, the OF comp. would have to run based on an 'honour' system.

If the competitors are fine with a 'honour' system, then great. But I don't want to have the Admins involved in settling personality clashes that turn into cheating accusations. I would be inclined to say that where there are disputes, the admins simply void the match, period.

Using th OF Launcher data files are checked when loading online parameters ! It is not really designed to avoid cheating, it was done to ensure people have the same files to have good online flights, but that s always better than nothing waiting for the SF update.
