F4AF 1.0.11 Black Screen Problem

Postby Nap » Sun Jun 03, 2007 4:39 am

Hi Guys,

Has anyone here had a problem running F4AF P1.0.11?
When I start it, I am getting a black screen with the music in the background but ESC doesn't work, and when the music finishes the screen stays black so I never get the User Interface.

If so, how did you fix it?

Cheers,
Nap

A friend of mine had that problem Nap, a few patches ago.
Try disable "FFd show" codec (probably u have it installed) .
Then try again...Maybe it 'll help ...

I just recently installed the latest K-Lite Codec 2.1.0 pack.

I used the K-Lite Configuration prog and I found the FFdShow codec in the list. I disabled it but nothing changed.
I get the feeling that simply using the dropdown in the K-Lite Config window to disable the codec is not enough.
Somehow I need to uninstall FFdShow without uninstalling all my other codecs.

xrhstaras, any idea how to actually uninstall FFdShow?

Cheers,
Nap

I uninstalled K-Lite completely, and F4AF worked fine.

So how do I disable FFd Show without loosing all the other codecs that come with K-Lite?
(I will try installing K-Lite again and watch the options more closely.)

xrhstaras, thnx 4 the heads up.

Cheers,

Another friend pointed me to Frugals, where I found the following thread: http://forums.frugalsworld.com/vbb/show ... p?t=116960

Problem fixed and F4AF is fine again. :D
